Coronavirus -Covid 19 With the pandemic is the greatest challenge we face in the aftermath of the global health crisis and the world war.
Countries compete to slow the spread of the virus by testing and treating patients, limiting travel, restricting citizens, maintaining social distance, and canceling social gatherings.
The mother’s love for her child is unconditional and should not be taken as a risk, so the mother stays home, feels safe and enjoys the impending motherhood.
But it is difficult to know how to stay calm during pregnancy in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The only intervention that helps individuals stay healthy and break this epidemic transmission chain is the greater adoption of social distance. It is possible to fight this pandemic.
There are four important things that pregnant women need to take care of
– nutrition is an important factor when it comes to feeding pregnant women and a growing baby.
So I believe there should be 5 important items on their plate:
Fruits & Vegetables: They should be consumed on a regular basis with fruits and vegetables that they like to eat
Simple foods like chapati, roti and rice should be included in their daily diet
Milk & Dairy products Yogurt, cheese etc. is an important part of pregnancy diet
Protein rich foods such as fish, poultry, egg, soybean and legumes are highly recommended for pregnant women
Have some dry fruits like almonds, walnuts etc.
Nutrition aside, the other important thing is to stay home. It is important to maintain hand, face and respiratory hygiene and ensure social distance.
Hand hygiene requires washing your hands with soap and water, and then use alcohol-based sterilium. It is essential to avoid touching your face during this vulnerability.
Lastly, in cases of respiratory hygiene, cough, sneezing, you should clog your elbow rather than your palm,
or if you are coughing in a mask or handkerchief, you should dispose of it properly and try to wash it with teal brine once or twice a day.
If you have GDM, monitor your blood glucose and blood pressure three times a day and consult your doctor over the phone if necessary. Take immune boosters regularly such as turmeric, citrus fruits, ginger, honey etc.
Do some antenatal yoga in the morning. Create positive affirmation cards for yourself by listening to music,
watching a positive vivid movie, and spending quality time with family.
Turn off the news to connect with your friends, use social media or the phone, but disconnect from everything that is happening outside.
So, stay home, eat nutritious, and stay healthy because you love your baby bigger than the world & sky …
